So I have come to the sad conclusion that my kids watch too much TV. I know because it seems to be creeping in to all other aspects of their lives. Of course they tell me what they want for their next birthday or treat and it is always a toy they saw on a commercial. They also will tell me what I need. First it was a self-watering plant bulb. Then I needed this special cleaner that makes my bathroom shine like new. I knew it was getting bad however when I heard yelling the other day. As I walked upstairs I hear Reanne yelling, "It's my money and I need it now!." Then Sierra would yell back. "No it's my money and I need it now!." I guess it's time to set some TV limits!
Last night Jess and I tried out our pressure canner for the first time. Jess is going to try his luck hunting Elk next year so I thought I better prepare now in case he comes home with one. This happened to be a beef roast that was on sale with onion and green pepper. We tasted some and it's just like pot roast. The bread I made while the meat was being canned. I was given the easiest recipe ever. From start to finish it only takes about an hour for the four loaves. If anyone wants the recipe let me know!
So this is day two of potty training Sierra. I am hoping it will only take a week like it did with Reanne but we will see. So far it has been a very torturous experience for her. We have gone back and forth with keeping underwear on her and letting her run around in the buff. Whenever she has her panties on she tends to have accidents. Well, we had her underwear off but she kept complaining about a diaper rash and so I would then put her on the toilet. She would of course refuse to let anything out and I would take her off again. Suddenly I look over and Sierra is coming over to me with Grant's jeans somehow pulled up over her and they are completely wet. I guess she was holding her potty in until she could unload in some sort of clothing and Grant's pants were the first thing she could find. Poor Sierra.
