February Happenings

February has been busy for us.  The big change happened a little before February with Jess taking on a new position at work.  He is now training, and therefore living in Ogden during the week and coming home on the weekends.  This has been a little adjustment for all of us, which is probably why I haven't posted anything for several weeks.

The next big happening was Reanne's birthday.  She turned nine on the 10th.  I warned the girls last year that we weren't doing any big parties this year.  Such a great decision.  She took two friends to see Star Wars Episode 1 in 3-D and had a great time.  I might never have a big friend party again, it was so much less stress.  Here Reanne is in Iowa about three months ago.  She is turning into a beautiful girl.

My sister Lori and her cute family came for a visit to see all of us up here in the mountains.  It was really fun visiting and our kids had a blast together.  Grant really gets along better with his cousin William than anyone else I know.  Here are a few captured moments.

We're so glad you guys visited!  We'll have to get together again soon.

One other thing we did this month, was go to the art museum for family night.  The Springville art museum  provides a free family night on the first Monday of every month.  This one was the first we attended but we will definitely be back.  It was great.  They had a guest artist come and speak.  This month it was Sean Diediker, who lives in Spanish Fork.  Among other things, he creates portraits of people out of dollar bills. The one of Donald Trump was displayed at the museum that night.  It was a very family friendly presentation.  Then they brought the BYU juggling team in and they entertained for a while.  After that they kids got to go on an art scavenger hunt.  The kids had a great time and we did too.  I definitely recommend it.

So glad we got to spend the week with you guys! William and Grant are like two peas in a pod- it was so fun to watch them have so much fun together and never get tired of each other. Very special. Hope to see you come summer time! Love you.

That art museum thing sounds awesome! Every once in a while I go out of my comfort zone to do something like that, and I'm never sad that I did. Maybe we will have to visit over the first Monday of the month sometime. ;-)
