What have we been up to?

Well....keeping very busy.  Jess's school schedule is pretty intense.  He is pretty much always studying or writing a paper in English or Spanish.  Jess lost his part time job but quickly got another part time job, which was a huge blessing.  His new one involves lots of organizational skills so keep us in your prayers. :)  I have picked up more hours working to help make ends meet.  Right now we are pretty much even with how many hours we work and how much we make.  Hopefully that won't last forever.

The other thing I have been working on a lot is our food storage.  I think I have filled up at least 8 or 9 dozen jars in the last few months.  This will be a very good thing for us in the next few months.  For the first time since we have lived in our new house, our food storage room is packed.  That makes me feel really good.

Soup anyone?

The other day Reanne came home from Activity Days with a service jar.  She decided to pick something out that night.  She ended up drawing a picture for Sierra and putting it on her bed as a surprise.

Sierra came up to me later and told me that "Even though Reanne tells everyone that she doesn't like me, I know she really does."

I have been trying hard to not buy sweet stuff.  After a while of that I get strong cravings for anything with sugar.  This happened the other night and so we made a fruit pizza.  The kids cut up the fruit.  They took that job very seriously.  I have never seen strawberries minced before.  It wasn't the most beautiful fruit pizza but they had a lot of fun cooking with mom.

You inspire me with your ability to stock your food storage to well. Billy wishes I was better at this.... I do try, but I need some better tools I think ;)
I can't wait to see you and your family in a week! Love You.

That fruit pizza sure looks good! I love fruit pizzas. And that is a cute little note that Reanne made for Sierra. Having food storage is great. I've been doing freezer meals lately which is giving me a little peace of mind before the baby comes.
